Woman Attacked By Two Pit Bulls

On September 11, a 19-year-old woman sustained severe personal injuries after she was attacked by a pair of pit bulls while walked along a street in Waukegan, Illinois.

According to police, the unidentified woman passed a yard where the three pit bulls were chained to the porch when two of them broke loose.

According to Waukegan police Cmdr. Wayne Walles, the dogs’ collars broke while they were attempting to pull away from the porch. He also said the owner heard the attack and was able to pull the dogs away from the woman.

According to police, the attack caused the woman to suffer serious injuries of the scalp and ear in addition to several bite marks on her body. She received transport to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan.
