According to New Jersey state officials, a woman from Burlington County, New Jersey has been accused of stealing over $9,000 in disability.

According to authorities, 37-year-old Willingboro, New Jersey resident Tomica Cooper filed false claims with Hartford Insurance Co. during a period between July 2003 and August 2004. She faces charges of insurance fraud, theft by deception, impersonation, and falsifying records.

According to authorities, initially, Cooper requested short-term benefits for disability in June of 2003, but after she returned to her job at Wal-Mart, she continued to collect them. She also has been accused of submitting a false claim in January of 2004. She allegedly also posed as the employee of a doctor in a phone call to her employer.
