Wilmington Man Killed When Boat Falls On Him
A man suffered fatal personal injuries in Wilmington due to a boat falling on him while being loaded onto a trailer.
According to a report from The Star-News of Wilmington, 25-year-old Wilmington resident Ryan Lee Church died on October 7.
Officials say that at the time of the incident, Church was attempting to align the boat with a trailer when it fell, causing him to become trapped. Upon the arrival of emergency medical workers, Church was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Deputy Charles Smith, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been informed of the incident.
