Wendell Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash Near Clayton
North Carolina State Troopers say that a man from Wendell died of the personal injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash along Shotwell Road, north of Clayton, shortly after 12 a.m. on October 3.
According to troopers, 53-year-old Preston Walker Beach was traveling north on a black Honda motorcycle when the vehicle ran off the road to the right. The rear wheel of the motorcycle struck a concrete driveway and Beach was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
