Wayne County Deputy Injured In Crash
A Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy is currently in recovery from the personal injuries he suffered during a crash on Highway 117 on December 30.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Deputy Daniel Truhan was in the process of responding to another accident when a car pulled out in front of him on Highway 117.
The other driver, Susan Watson, was injured, along with the deputy. Both are expected to recover.
Watson has been charged with failure to yield.
The crash left both vehicles totaled.
