                                              Wayne County Accident Claims Two Lives

A pickup truck driven by Christopher A. Ream of Fremont, failed to stop at stop sign at Watson Crossroads and skidded into an intersection, hitting a car driven by Ada W. Jones of Wilson.

Ream, recently wed and a member of the Eureka Fire Department, died at the scene. Jones died shortly afterward.

It is a tragedy that both drivers died in the collision.

When a person is killed as the result of a negligent driver, the estate of the deceased victim has a claim against the negligent driver.

The fact that the negligent driver was killed in the wreck does not prevent the family from collecting for the loss of their loved one.

The insurance company for the deceased negligent driver will be responsible for paying the claim.

If the amount of the claim  exceeds the policy limits of the deceased negligent driver, the estate of the deceased negligent driver will be responsible for balance of the claim.
