According to a report from authorities on December 8, charges are expected to be filed against a Wake County school bus driver after it was determined by investigators that her bus crossed the center line of a busy road in North Raleigh on December 4, causing a three-vehicle crash in which a Raleigh firefighter suffered critical personal injuries.
A North Carolina Highway Patrol accident reconstruction team discovered that the bus driven by Garner resident Sheila Hall crossed the center line on Ligon Mill Road and clipped a Ford Taurus before striking a Dodge pickup truck driven by Lt. Harry P. Kissinger with the Raleigh Fire Department shortly before 6:30 a.m.
Kissinger’s current medical condition at WakeMed was not released, but he was listed in critical condition prior to going into surgery on December 4.
The investigating state trooper, Danny Burges, is to meet with the Wake County district attorney’s office to determine appropriate charges against Hall.
