Vass Motorcyclist Killed In Crash
A 33-year-old man from Vass suffered fatal personal injuries on September 4 after losing control of his motorcycle, which ran off the road and collided with a tree in Moore County.
A dispatcher with the North Carolina Highway Patrol said that Antonio Almendarez was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred at about 1:45 p.m.
The dispatcher said that at the time, Almendarez was southbound on State Road 2021, approximately six miles east of Vass. He was rounding a curve when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road to the left, and collided with a tree.
