Fayetteville police responded to the scene of two accidents involving personal injuries on the morning of June 9, both of which involved vehicles that overturned.
Police radio reports indicated that the first accident was reported around 8:15 a.m. on the All American Freeway at Santa Fe Drive near the Fort Bragg entrance. Further details were not immediately made available.
The second accident was reported nearly 10 minutes later on Hoke Loop Road.
Police Spokesman Dan Grubb said that 16-year-old Addison Steed lost control while driving a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo around a curve at a high rate of speed. The sport utility vehicle overturned three times and came to rest on its roof.
Grubb said that Steed and three of his five passengers were unharmed. The two other passengers received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and were released after undergoing treatment.
Police cited Steed for careless and reckless driving. The four back seat passengers were cited for failure to wear their seat belts, according to Grubb.
