Two Pennsylvania Men Dead, N.C. Man Injured In Crash

Two men died and a North Carolina man suffered personal injuries on June 18 in a one-car crash in Bedford County, Two men were killed and another was injured late Friday in a one-car crash in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.

The men who died the East Saint Clair Township accident were 22-year-old Schellsburg, Pennsylvania resident Joseph M. Fetter and 18-year-old Osterburg, Pennsylvania resident Chans M. Feather. The third man, 20-year-old Camp Lejeune, N.C. resident Gary L. Pfahler Jr. sustained moderate injuries.

According to police, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Fetter was traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 869 when he lost control while rounding a mild left curve. The vehicle ran off the road to the right, collided with a utility pole, overturned multiple times, collided with a large tree, and overturned once more before coming to rest on its roof.

Fetter and Feather were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. Pfahler was wearing his seat belt and was not ejected.
