Two Injured In York County Accident
A teenager required air transport to Carolinas Medical Center on May 3 for the personal injuries he suffered in an automobile accident in York County.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Gissell Gonzalez was southbound in a Dodge Durango on North Shiloh Road when she ran off the road to the right, overcorrected, and ran off the road to the left before the vehicle overturned. The NCHP said she was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected during the accident. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
An 8-year-old male front seat passenger received transport to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill with injuries that were considered to be minor.
The Highway Patrol said Gonzalez would be charged with driving too fast for conditions.
