Two Injured In Head-On Collision In Rockwell

Two people received hospital transport for the personal injuries they suffered in a head-on collision between two small trucks in Rockwell on the afternoon of May 4.

The collision took place on Organ Church Road. The identities of the drivers were not immediately made available.

The drivers were trapped inside their respective trucks and had to be freed by emergency responders before being taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center. One of the trucks, a red Chevrolet S10, was transporting a passenger, who was uninjured in the collision.

The other truck was a Duke Energy meter truck and the driver was identified as a female employee of Duke Energy.
