Three vehicles were involved in an accident that included a school bus in northwest Charlotte on the afternoon of August 27, causing two to suffer personal injuries.

The accident took place at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Moores Chapel Road and Kendal Drive.

It was confirmed by a Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools spokesperson that Bus #872 was transporting 24 students from Harding and Phillip O. Berry High Schools at the time. None of the bus’ occupants were injured.

A red pickup truck apparently rear-ended the school bus and a silver passenger car apparently crashed into the pickup’s rear.

MEDIC said that two patients received hospital transport.

The accident remains under the investigation of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
