Two Die In Single Vehicle Accident
Two young men lost their lives last Thursday in a single vehicle accident on Womack Road in the Broadway community.
Speed was a factor in the accident that killed Timothy Cameron, Jr., 17 and Brittany Wilson, 19.
Mr. Cameron lost control of his Ford pickup truck on a curve, ran off the road, down an embankment and overturned several times. Neither Cameron nor Wilson were wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. They both died at the scene.
Mr. Cameron was a senior at Western Harnett High School. Ms. Wilson graduated from Harnett Central High School last year. The two were dating each other.
Western Harnett High School was immediately planning grief counseling.
When you receive a driver’s license and operate a motor vehicle, you are not only responsible for your life, but the lives of your passengers and others on the road.
According to Trooper Greg Steffens, speed continues to be the No. 1 problem for teen drivers.
