Two Cars Racing Result In Fatalities
Two Cars Racing Result In Fatalities
According to police, witnesses reported two cars racing Saturday at speeds of 80 mph on Highway 49 before a crash killed three in Charlotte.
Cynthia Furr and her 2-year-old daughter were killed when their Mercedes was struck as they turned out of their neighborhood onto Highway 49.
Also killed in the wreck was a 13-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Eclipse that crashed into the Mercedes.
The driver of the Eclipse, Tyler Stasko, 20, faces three charges of second-degree murder.
Stasko is still hospitalized.
A 44-year-old woman, whose name was not released, has admitted driving the Camaro racing the Eclipse.
The wreck is still under investigation.
