A tractor-trailer carrying garbage overturned around 7:30 a.m. on June 25 on Hillsboro Street in Fayetteville, under the Rowan Street bridge, causing personal injuries.

Fayetteville police spokesman Dan Grubb said that the truck’s driver may have taken a curve too fast, causing the truck to overturn. The driver, 38-year-old Rose Hill resident Juan Antonio Olvera Guillen, received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after the accident.

According to Calvin Bishop, a Fayetteville Fire Department battalion commander, diesel fuel that leaked from the truck had been contained.
