According to authorities, pro golfer Tiger Woods suffered serious personal injuries in a car wreck in Orlando, Florida on November 27.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that shortly before 2:25 a.m., Woods was driving a 2009 Cadillac sport utility vehicle.
According to the police report, Woods had just pulled out of his driveway when he struck a fire hydrant and then a tree.
Woods received transport to Health Central Hospital. His condition was not immediately made available, but the press release from the highway patrol said that the injuries he sustained were serious.
According to a report from The Orlando Sentinel, the vehicle’s airbags failed to deploy. The newspaper said that airbags typically will not deploy if a vehicle is traveling less than 33 miles per hour.
The highway patrol said that the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending, but alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
