Three Seriously Injured In Fayetteville Crash
On the night of December 31, three people sustained serious personal injuries in a crash in Fayetteville when their car ran off LA Dunham Road and collided with a utility pole.
The impact caused the pole to splinter and the car to be suspended four feet off the ground. LA Dunham is off Cedar Creek Road, near Interstate 95.
Police say the vehicle’s driver, a 28-year-old male, was pinned inside the car and had to be extracted by rescuers prying him out.
According to police, the power had to be shut off by the Public Works Commission before the driver was able to be rescued.
Police say a 15-year-old male and an 18-year-old male that were passengers in the vehicle received transport to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they were listed in serious condition.
The names of the people involved in the crash have not yet been released by police.
