Three Injured In Raleigh Crash Caused By Alleged Drunk Driver Going Wrong Way
A two-vehicle wreck on the night of February 4 on Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh caused three people personal injuries and closed traffic for nearly six hours.
According to police, a sport utility vehicle driven by a suspected intoxicated driver was going the wrong way on Blue Ridge shortly before 9 p.m. and collided head-on with another SUV. Two sets of traffic lights were also knocked down in the crash.
Three people, including the suspected drunken driver, received transport to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said that charges are pending.
