Teen Girl Injured In Raleigh Hit-And-Run
Police in Raleigh said they are searching for a sport utility vehicle that struck a teenager on Calumet Drive, inflicting personal injuries, and drove off.
Police said 15-year-old Brandi Lester was crossing the road around 7 a.m. when she was struck. She received transport to WakeMed Hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
Police are searching for a light-colored SUV, possibly a white or silver Nissan or Isuzu. They said the SUV was traveling at an estimated rate of speed of 25 mph upon impact and would have sustained some front-end damage.
