Teen Critically Injured In Wreck
Teen Critically Injured In Wreck
Samantha Sabourin of Clinton was critically injured in an accident Monday afternoon on Honeycutt Rd.
Jonathan B. Crumpler of Erwin was driving a 2006 Ford Expedition south on Honeycutt Rd. Crumpler reportedly ran a stop sign at Parker Memorial Rd., hitting a vehicle driven by Samantha Sabourin. The collision resulted in both vehicles running off the right side of the road and coming to rest in a canal ditch.
Sabourin was ejected from her vehicle and thrown face down in the water. An individual who witnessed the accident pulled her out of the water.
Sabourin was airlifted to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill and listed in critical condition.
Crumpler was treated at Sampson Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
Charges are pending in the accident.
