A man has filed a personal injury suit against a plumbing and heating company, claiming that he was struck on the knee with a shovel by one of the workers.

According to the suit Aaron Bricker filed in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court on March 1, he was working at a McDonald’s in Bethalto on June 8, 2008. At that same time, Hubert Plumbing and Heating Company was working on the premises. One of Hubert’s employees struck Bricker on the knee with a shovel.

Bricker claims the incident caused him to suffer injuries to his knees, experience pain and suffering and disability, incur medical expenses, and lose wages.

The suit alleges negligence on the part of Hubert Plumbing and Heating Company for failure to properly block off the work area, failure to provide proper supervision for its employees, and failure to warn by-standers of the use of shovels.

Bricker seeks unspecified damages.
