Suit Says Failure To Stop At Stop Sign Led To Collision

A man from Beaumont, Texas has filed a personal injury suit against a driver he alleges failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign, resulting in a collision.

According to the suit Lindsey Young filed on February 12 in Texas’ Jefferson County District Court, he was driving through an intersection when defendant Bryan K. Boggs, driving a vehicle owned by defendant Maudry Williams and insured by defendant Clyde Williams, failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with him.

Young claims the accident has caused him to incur medical expenses, lose wages and earning capacity, suffer physical impairment, and endure mental anguish. He also claims to have incurred property damage.

The suit alleges negligence on the part of Boggs for failure to maintain a proper lookout, failure to apply his brakes in a timely manner in order to avoid a collision, and failure to proceed through the intersection when it was safe to do so.

Young seeks unspecified damages.
