Suit Filed Against Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House Over Injuries Sustained While Playing Basketball
A personal injury suit has been filed against the Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House in East St. Louis, Missouri by the mother of a 14-year-old boy who sustained personal injuries two years ago while playing basketball in the center’s gymnasium.
Delano Mosley seeks damages in excess of $50,000 in addition to costs of suit on the behalf of Zaire Moore, her son, who tripped on a net that had been left on the floor on July 14, 2006.
According to the suit, which was filed in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County, Illinois, Moore suffered a fractured arm. He is claiming loss of normal life, disfigurement, pain and suffering, and medical expenses.
The Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House is a non-profit agency affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
