Suit Claims Wal-Mart Failed To Remove Ice From Parking Lot
A woman has filed a personal injury suit against Wal-Mart after she allegedly hurt her right wrist and right arm after slipping on ice in the store’s parking lot.
According to the suit Belinda K. Fitz filed in Illinois’ St. Clair County Circuit Court on April 24, she slipped and fell in the parking lot while at Wal-Mart on December 19, 2007.
Fitz claims that in addition to her injuries, the incident caused her to experienced severe pain and suffering and lost wages, incur medical costs, and have her ability to work, labor, and enjoy life impaired.
The suit alleges negligence on the part of Wal-Mart for allowing the unnatural accumulation of ice and failure to remove the ice.
Fitz seeks damages of more than $50,000.
