A woman has filed a personal injury suit against a bar employee, claiming she suffered injuries to her low back and spinal discs after he accidentally pushed her off a stool.
According to the suit Michelle Wieneke filed in Illinois’ Madison County Circuit Court on April 22 against Daddie-O’s Nite Out, she was at the bar on June 8 when she was greeted by an employee with a slap on the shoulder.
Wieneke claims the slap was “of sufficient force” to push her from the stool and cause her to fall and “violently” hit the hard floor, landing on an area that impacted her low back and buttocks.
Wieneke claims that in addition to the injuries she suffered, the incident also caused her to incur medical costs, lose earnings and earning capacity, and experience a diminished capacity to enjoy life.
The suit alleges negligence against the employee for failure to warn her of the impending slap on the shoulder.
Wieneke seeks unspecified damages.
