State Troopers Cite Speed As Factor In Charlotte Crash
According to a North Carolina state trooper, speed was a factor in an April 19 crash in western Charlotte in which personal injuries were involved.
The accident occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 85 near Little Rock Road.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said that a sport utility vehicle rear-ended a truck that was towing a second truck on a trailer. The impact caused the SUV to run off the road, where it was struck by another vehicle.
The SUV’s driver and the third vehicle’s driver received transport to the hospital for their injuries.
The SUV’s driver was cited for failure to reduce speed.
