New mandates are moving toward making the Social Security Disability Insurance system a paperless one. Paperless system make it easier to find all your disability claim information in one place, and also allow the Social Security Administration to receive and process your claim faster.

If you have been representing yourself and recently had your claim denied, you have the option to file an Internet Appeal on the SSA website here. An SSDI attorney at Brent Adams & Associates can process your claim on your behalf, or if you plan to do it yourself, you’ll need specific information. Before you file your disability appeal online you will need:

  • Notice of Decision
  • Your name, SS#, phone number and address
  • Representative’s contact information (If Brent Adams & Associates is representing your claim, we would complete this section with our information.)
  • A friend or relative’s contact information who knows about your medical state.

You will also need to submit documentation of medical records if there were any changes since your last claim submission. This would include every healthcare visit, new prescription and medical test from the last day of submission to the date of filing an appeal.

Our SSDI attorneys are up-to-date on the latest legal, vocational and technical changes taking place. We represent SSDI cases anywhere in North Carolina. From helping SSDI claimants in Wilmington, to Western NC, our lawyers help disabled workers receive the best possible attention for their claim. A team of paralegals assists our attorneys in three NC injury law offices in Raleigh, Fayetteville and Dunn.
