School Bus Driver Charged With DWI After Wreck
According to police, the driver of a North Carolina school bus involved in an accident involving personal injuries was charged with driving while impaired.
According to a news release from Fayetteville Police, 49-year-old Charles Wynn has also been charged with operating a school bus after consuming alcohol. Police say that on the afternoon of April 23, the bus was read-ended by another vehicle.
Police said that the bus was transporting 18 students at the time of the accident. One student aboard the bus and one child from the other vehicle received transport to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The other vehicle’s driver, 29-year-old Travis Hunter, was charged by police with failure to reduce speed and driving on a revoked license.
