S.C. Man Killed In Raeford In Motorcycle Collision With Mailbox

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, a man from South Carolina died of the personal injuries he suffered on July 26 when his motorcycle ran off Hobson Road and collided with a mailbox shortly before 10 a.m.

The NCHP’s report said that 43-year-old Christopher Franklin Green was southbound on a 2009 Suzuki when the bike went of the right side of the road and struck a mailbox.

Green was traveling at an estimated speed of 80 mph when the accident occurred and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to the report.

The motorcycle continued traveling along, running off the shoulder of the road, striking a culvert pipe, and overturning before coming to rest in a driveway 116 feet from the point of impact, the report said. Debris from the wrecked vehicle hit two cars parked in the driveway.
