Roseboro Woman Killed In Accident Near Fayetteville

The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported that a 33-year-old woman from Roseboro suffered fatal personal injuries on the night of August 27 in a single-vehicle accident south of Fayetteville.

According to the NCHP, a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Stephanie Jane Thomas crossed the center line on N.C. Highway 210. She overcorrected and the vehicle ran off the road to the left, hit a ditch and collided with a fence and tree before finally coming to a stop.

Thomas was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

As of August 29, troopers said the cause of the accident remained under investigation.

Dear Stephanie
I was so lucky to have had you as a friend in my life. You were one of the few people who could make me smile with your rude but funny remarks towards me. Now I know why the "Heavens" above sent me to Texas....it was to meet you and you was worth every moment. From the very moment that we first met, when you tacked me while I was playing basketball,(a moment that you deny to this very day ;))) I guess you were showing me that "Southern Hospitality") I knew that we were going to be good friends. Steph, I wish I had come to visit you more when I had the chance, I wish we both had stayed in-touch more, and now I am on the losing end, kicking myself for all the missed opportunities. I have a hard time believing that you are really gone, that God could take someone so young who meant a lot to me away, again. I have always cared for you and thought of you from time to time. You were a "Genuine" friend! I am going to miss you dearly Steph. R.I.P. my sweet Stephanie. I love you.
