Robeson County Man Killed In Hoke County Crash
Authorities said that a man from Robeson County sustained fatal personal injuries on the night of January 12 after his vehicle skidded off of an icy Hoke County road.
According to authorities, 48-year-old Lumber Bridge resident Calvin Baldwin was driving southwest on Old Wire Road around 7:45 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled down an embankment.
Authorities said Baldwin was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the vehicle’s lone occupant.
Authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol to have been factors.
