Red Springs Woman Critically Injured In Motorcycle Accident
A woman from Robeson County is in critical condition at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill from the personal injuries she suffered in a motorcycle crash in Red Spring, according to a hospital spokesman.
North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper J.D. Wright said that 36-year-old Red Springs resident Angela Locklear Jones crashed her 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Mount Zion Church Road on April 16.
Wright said the motorcycle ran off the road and overturned, ejecting Jones. He said she was wearing a helmet, but it did not meet federal safety standards.
The accident took place approximately two miles south of Red Springs.
