Plaintiff was awarded $660.00 in compensatory damages and an additional $6,000.00 for punitive damages. Defendant caused the head on collision when driving while impaired. Plaintiff sought treatment the day after the collision at an Urgent Care and did not see a doctor again until three and a half months later and only for several weeks. Plaintiff insisted that she was still having pain due to the accident and defendant’s defense was that she had no prior convictions. The jury deliberated a total of three hours on this case.
