Pittsboro Woman Found 19 Hours After Crash
A woman from Pittsboro was found 19 hours after she suffered personal injuries when her sports utility vehicle ran off a road and down an embankment.
According to a report in The Times-News of Burlington, 38-year-old Sandra Elaine Fuller was discovered on the evening of September 6 by children on bicycles after she crawled out to the side of a road. According to authorities, she was suffering from dehydration, but the injuries she suffered in the crash were not believed to be life-threatening.
Shortly before midnight on September 5, Fuller dropped a friend off between Pittsboro and Burlington.
According to Highway Patrol Trooper R.J. Fuquay, Fuller’s vehicle rolled off a curving two-lane road and went down a hill leading to a small creek. The SUV was not visible from the road due to trees and brush.
