Pedestrian Killed On I-95
A woman has died of the personal injuries she suffered on the morning of January 19 when she was struck by a vehicle while walking on Interstate 95 near the 63-mile marker, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Trooper Greg Steffens said the accident took place at approximately 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95. He said the reason the woman was walking in the road was unknown.
According to Steffens, the 62-year-old woman has been identified, but troopers have yet to locate family members.
