Pedestrian Killed In Fayetteville Collision
The Fayetteville Police Department says that on April 25, a pedestrian died of the personal injuries he suffered when he was struck while attempting to cross Ramsey Street.
According to a news release, shortly after 10:30 p.m., the man walked in front of a Ford Ranger pickup truck, which struck him. Police say traffic was heavy due to concertgoers leaving Festival Park.
Police say they discovered the man lying unresponsive near the curb on the northbound side of Ramsey Street.
According to the news release, both the truck’s driver and passenger were at the scene when police arrived.
Police have yet to release the names of the parties involved and the crash is still under investigation and next of kin are being notified.
