Pedestrian Killed In Fayetteville Accident

A pedestrian suffered fatal personal injuries in Fayetteville while trying to cross Cedar Creek Road on the night of September 2.

 

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, 82-year-old Peter Bricker III was crossing the road near Bureau Drive when a car driven by 40-year-old Charlotte resident Douglas Thaggard struck him shortly before 8:30 p.m.

 

Police say Bricker was not in a crosswalk at the time, his next of kin have been notified, and the accident remains under investigation.
