Pedestrian Hit By Truck In Halifax County
A pedestrian suffered personal injuries on the evening of September 19 after being struck by a truck in Halifax County.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol said that around 9:45 p.m., a Toyota pickup truck hit 45-year-old Hollister resident Rodney Lynch on Ita Road.
Troopers say the drive, whose name was not immediately made available, says that two men were walking along Ita Road when one of them crossed in front of the vehicle. The other pedestrian also said that Lynch walked in front of the vehicle.
Troopers said that Lynch, who was wearing dark clothing, was knocked into a ditch. He received transport via helicopter to Pitt Memorial Hospital.
