Pedestrian Hit By Train Near Kenly
Emergency dispatchers say a pedestrian suffered personal injuries late on the night of May 26 after being struck by a train just south of Kenly along the CSX tracks that run underneath Interstate 95.
According to the dispatchers, the initial report came in shortly before 11 p.m. The train’s engineer had stopped because he believed he may have struck someone.
Police searched the tracks and discovered the injured pedestrian, who was transported to WakeMed in Raleigh.
