Pedestrian Fatally Struck Near Roseboro

A pedestrian suffered fatal personal injuries on June 3 after walking into the path of a vehicle near Roseboro, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

A spokeswoman said the victim’s name had not been released pending notification of next of kin. She would not say whether it was a male or female.

The spokeswoman said the accident took place approximately a mile from Roseboro on Claudes Drag Road. It was reported shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The victim was walking along the southbound lane and walked in front of a southbound Dodge pickup truck, according to the spokeswoman, who would not identify the driver.

The spokeswoman said that Trooper R.K. Williams was the investigating officer.
