Passenger Killed In Goldsboro Accident

A 25-year-old woman from LaGrange suffered fatal personal injuries in a single-vehicle accident on Salem Church Road in Goldsboro on the evening of August 31, according to police.

The victim, 25-year-old Anecia Neal, was a passenger in a 2001 Acura driven by LaGrange resident Michael Kevin McGee.

According to police, McGee lost control of the vehicle while driving at a high rate of speed. The Acura collided with a utility pole before finally coming to a stop in a dense, wooded area.

Neal received transport to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation.
