Paramedic Killed In Fort Bragg Ambulance Crash

Military officials have confirmed that a paramedic suffered fatal personal injuries on the morning of October 22 while en route to an injury call.

According to a Fort Bragg spokesman, an ambulance was heading toward a parachute training jump at Camp McCall in Hoke County when the driver lost control of the vehicle and over corrected. The ambulance spun around and ended up in the trees along Plank Road near Turkey Road.

The ambulance’s driver sustained critical injuries. A second medic died in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation and the deceased paramedic’s name has yet to be released.

According to the military, the paramedics were civilians and not members of the military.
