On the morning of January 24, one Fayetteville woman was killed and another suffered serious personal injuries when the vehicle they were traveling in ran off Dundle Road.
Police responded to the scene of the crash on Dundle Road near Heatherbrook Driver just after 11:30 a.m., where a 2006 BMW had come to rest after overturning and landing in a ditch.
The vehicle’s passenger, 49-year-old Barbara Taylor, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 45-year-old Linda McNeal, received helicopter transport to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill to undergo treatment for injuries considered to be serious.
The accident remains under investigation.
