One person received emergency transport to WakeMed in Raleigh with potentially serious personal injuries as a result of a 3 p.m. collision on April 14, according to police spokesman Jim Sughrue.
Police asked afternoon commuters to avoid northbound Capital Boulevard and Brentwood Road because of the two-vehicle crash, which occurred at that intersection.
Police at the scene said the crash caused traffic on northbound Capital, running south of the crash site, and traffic in both directions on Brentwood, to be significantly delayed.
