One Pedestrian Dead, One Injured In Accident Near Laurinburg
The North Carolina Highway Patrol says that one pedestrian has died and another suffered personal injuries on October 7 when they were struck by a vehicle while walking on U.S. 15.
According to a report filed by Trooper J.L. Martin, the accident was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. and occurred approximately one mile north of Laurinburg.
The names of the pedestrians and driver were not immediately made available.
The report said that the pedestrians were wearing dark clothing and struck from behind while walking in the southbound lane.
