One Killed, One Injured In Wake Forest Crash

On December 13, a head-on collision on a highway exit ramp in Wake Forest resulted in one man dying and another suffering critical personal injuries.

According to Wake Forest Police Lt. Mike Maron, 37-year-old Youngsville resident Robert Ernesto Harris died after his Honda car and a van driven by 29-year-old Raleigh resident Pedro Guity collided on the U.S. 1 northbound exit ramp to the N.C. 98 bypass shortly after 3 a.m.

Guity received transport to WakeMed, where he was listed in critical condition.

Maron said the crash remains under investigation and police are not yet certain which car was going the wrong way on the exit ramp.
