A man from Supply died and a teenager was taken to the hospital with personal injuries after a two-vehicle crash on N.C. 211 near Midway Road in Brunswick County on January 12, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
NCHP spokesman Sgt. E.C. Harris said that 18-year-old Supply resident Conrad Daniel Orth was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Harris, Orth was traveling on N.C. 211 in a 1996 Buick when he crossed the center line while trying to pass another vehicle and collided head-on with a 2004 driven by 16-year-old Oak Island resident Kendra Horne at approximately 5 p.m.
Horne received air transport to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington and remained in serious condition as of the morning of January 13.
