One Dead, One Seriously Injured In Fayetteville Accident
A man suffered fatal personal injuries in an accident at the intersection of Yadkin Road and Pima Drive in Fayetteville on the morning of August 3, according to police.
Police say 25-year-old Dominic Tearry was eastbound on Yadkin road when his vehicle ran off the road and hit the curb. The vehicle lost control, overturned, and collided with a light pole.
Tearry and his passenger, 30-year-old Shaun Tearry, were ejected from the vehicle. Shaun Tearry was pronounced dead at the scene and Dominic Tearry received transport to Cape Fear Valley Hospital with injuries that were considered to be serious.
The two men are cousins.
Police say the accident remains under investigation and charges, if any, have yet to be filed.
