
A man who died and another who suffered personal injuries in a head-on collision on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville on October 12 have been identified by police.
Police say 57-year old Falcon resident Robert Brigman was pronounced dead at the scene. Seventy-two-year-old Fayetteville resident James Reeves received air transport to UNC Chapel Hill with serious injuries. The two were the drivers involved.
According to police, preliminary investigations show that Brigman was driving nort in a Chevrolet pickup truck when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Ford van Reeves was driving south.
The collision occurred under a traffic signal at the intersection of Ramsey Street and Interstate 295 at approximately 1:45 p.m. Ramsey Street’s southbound lanes were blocked for nearly two hours after the crash.
